Appointments
Booking an Appointment
Patients are asked to ring for a doctor’s appointment on the day they wish to be seen. If the doctor of your choice is fully booked or unavailable, you will be offered an alternative. Many appointments are bookable in advance, up to one week in advance. All appointments for the nurses, midwife and the asthma and diabetes clinics are bookable in advance. You will always be seen in an emergency.
Please be punctual for your appointment and always give us as much notice as possible if you are unable to keep a booked appointment.
Medical problems can often take longer than the time allotted for one appointment. At times, therefore, your doctor or nurse may be running late (if so, it is because a problem has required more time than usual to be dealt with properly). Please be patient – next time it could be you!
Computer System for Online Appointments
Our Practice Computer system has changed from EMIS (Patient Access) to System One. If you have previously registered for Online Access with EMIS please discard your login details. You can re-register with us to book your appointments online with our NEW System. Once you have registered you will be able to book your appointment online by clicking on one of the icons at the bottom of this page.
If you have not yet registered for this facility and would like to, please speak to Reception.
Already registered? Simply click one of the icons at the bottom of the page.
Consultations
If you cannot keep an appointment please ring and cancel it. We operate the 48hr access. Generally you will be given an appointment within 48hrs, (not necessarily with the GP of your choice)
Consultations are available on request to:
- Registered patients over 16
- Those who have not attended in the last 3yrs
- Over 75yrs who have not attended within the last year
Both sites have disable access and toilets.
Nurse Sessions
We have Nurses available at both sites to suit all requirements. Please ring the surgery to book an appointment with the Nurses.
Home Visits
If possible try to get to the surgery, as we can offer you a more comprehensive range of care. If a home visit is requested please try to inform the surgery before 10:30am as it helps the doctors to arrange their rounds, unless an emergency arises later. If you are not sure whether a home visit is necessary the doctor or nurse would be pleased to advise you.
